Change of pace Saturday, Apr 26 2008

I got tired of the blue.  I liked the layout a lot, but it gets old after a while.  Sorry if I startle you, BRose!  (ahaha, didn’t really tell her about this…. ^__^||)

Hey, got that story done!  ….It ended up being 9 pages, with .5 margins and 11-sized font.  Single-spaced.  I really don’t know how to keep things short.  Even this I feel was rushed when it comes to the pace, and we’re starting waaaaaay in media res.  If I ever draw this out, I’m starting at the beginning, not here.  But I needed it for English, so what have  you.

If I post it here, our main page is going to be gigantic.  So I’ll post it on our new “Stories” page over there <—  ^__^  I figure this will be easier for both BRose and myself.

Aaaaaaah, I miss Photoshop.  *cries* TAT

Earthquake, baby! Friday, Apr 18 2008

I’ve never experienced one before.  ‘Round here, you don’t really get one very often (once every…10 years, I think was what I heard?  And those not strong enough to feel).  So today, when I heard we had one last night that registered a 5.4, I was really bummed that I’d missed it!  But it had been at 5 AM, and I was definitely out at that time, so yeah, I missed it.  I was going through the morning (I heard about it right away during my first class at 8:30 today) kinda sad about that…

But then we had another one!  I was in lab at the time.  I know I probably shouldn’t be happy to have felt one (it was just a mild shaking), but I was.  I mean, I’ve never felt one before!

So yeah.  There’s my exciting news of the day.

Up and Running Sunday, Apr 13 2008

So I’m back!  Happily, the warrant people for my laptop got it fixed like, the very day they got it and just sent it back again.  So, Maivlon is pretty and back and happy!!  As such, I’ve got the latest page of Water Spirit up if you wanna go look.

This season’s anime are looking pretty nice.  I’m definitely following five: Nabari no Ou, xxxHolic (season 2), Kure-nai, Code Geas (season 2), and Soul Eater.  These seem to be the best of this season (call me a sucker for shounen, whatever, shoujo is too predictable and I end up wanting to kill most of the characters for their stupidity).

The one I’m most looking forward to is Soul Eater; it just looks too cool!  And I want to marry their choreographer.  If you watch the first episode, you will know why.

Then comes Code Geas, cuz it’s just mind-bendingly awesome.

Then Kure-nai, cuz its animation is beautiful and the story promises to be good.  It has wonderful depiction of a little kid, at any rate, in Murasaki.  And I really like how her voice actor portrays her.

Nabari no Ou may end up having crappy animation; we’ll see.  They’re also moving super-fast through it, so they’ll probably end up with a anime-original ending, so again, we’ll see how it goes.  But the premise is cool.

xxxHolic doesn’t have awesome animation and it moves rather slowly, but I’ve fallen for the manga so I’m going to follow it. ;P

So that’s my line-up!  I may end up adding Library Wars to it; I’m on the fence on that one right now…….
