Oekaki 10-22-08 Thursday, Oct 23 2008

Yeah, I was feeling a bit down yesterday after my busy busy day, so I enticed Ensei into an oekaki with me~!

They’re no-one specifically (not one for fan-art, really), but I had fun!

My shoulder’s off, but I wanted to go to bed so I didn’t fix it.  LOVE THE EYES AHAHAH!

LOLZ Bishounen?  I don’t know, just felt like it…

I didn’t put up her half, since whether or not she wants it up is up to her.

My Life Tuesday, Oct 21 2008

You know those days, where everything just seems to go right and your worries seem to drift away and become irrelevant?

That’s me today.

Absolute gorgeous weather outside these days – with a perfect upper 60’s to lower 70’s out – the leaves are turning color, the sky is such a perfect blue it almost hurts to look at, and there’s just a light breeze to tease the leaves from the branches.  I’ve been getting tired at about noon or so, and for once I’ve actually been napping, and there’s a wonderful sunny spot in my living room that’s just perfect.  It’s these types of days where for once I kind of understand people who go sun-bathing, because I just want to lie there and soak the sun into my bones.  And to top it all off, I have cheese and apples from home, so for lunch these past few days I’ve been eating that.  What better lunch is there?  Especially in the autumn times, it’s just needed.

I’m more or less caught up with homework (though I do have an exam this Thursday, and a project (?) due that day as well so I really ought to be stressing, I’m not.  It’s just to good of a day.

On a side note, my new peace lily did not enjoy its repotting, so it has been temporarily moved to a jar of water until it sends out more roots.  I hope it doesn’t die; I really want a lily!  My other plant, the mother-in-law’s-tongue, is doing great, though.  Of course, it’s a desert plant so when I ignore it it’s happy.

If any of you read my DA journal, I’m thinking of dropping Water Spirit and changing over to either Bella or Gate 12 Open’s story as a manga.  WS is just too long, and not all that interesting until the end for me, whereas both of these other stories are interesting all the way through……  Bella is longer, but more completely thought out than Gate 12 Open… So we’ll see.  If you feel like voting, feel free to vote here or, if you have a DA account, over at my DA journal. =D

Well, then, I’m off to band and the presidential dinner!

Hope your days are as sunny and happy as mine!

A breeze for good people Friday, Oct 17 2008

I wrote a new story in spanish! It’s called “A Breeze for Good People” (in the translation) and my roommate says it’s crack. Sometimes I go crazy when I’m doing homework, and laugh hysterically and fall in love with random words. So, this happened with some spanish homework, and I had to look up “brindarse” (to offer one’s assistance) and I found an amazing page that had words like “owl” and “to spark/shine” and “to suntan”. Being the creative writing freak I am I realized that these could all become a fantastic story.

So, in the classes where I don’t have to concentrate (which shall remain nameless at this point) I’ve been working on this fantastic story featuring words between botánico and bulto. And, because of the nature of the beast, it’s rather bizarre, but I had so much fun writing it.

So, check it out in the stories. I put the english translation first (sorry it’s jerky, I tried to stick pretty close to what the spanish says, except for those places where I couldn’t figure out how to say what I wanted in spanish, so I settled for what I could scrape up, and thus reverted to what I wanted in the english), but I figured I’d put in the spanish too in case anyone wants to check my abysmal grammar (I’m getting it checked by both my spanish professors, so it should get better soon).

But honestly, any story where I can use velociraptors makes me smile every time.
