Touhou – Alice Margatroid Thursday, Sep 10 2009

Ensei (my roommate, if you’ll remember) drew these Touhou characters in casual dress, but apparently hates coloring?  (haha, she says she doesn’t get color)  Therefore, she opened up her linework for color.

*insert evil laugh here*

So first one down!  Alice Margatroid, lines by Ensei, color by me!  Had fun with all the shadows and such.  W00t for colored shadows!  …Though that jacket took me six tries before I found the color I wanted.  =A=

So here she is~~

For Brose’s B-day, HAPPY BELATED SORRY FOR BEING SO LATE!!  TTAAAATT  I phail.

And now Brose will give a description of this character……..go!

In the meantime, I tried a new shading technique, described by GENZOMAN on DeviantArt.  I did it retrospectively (so I actually had the flat color already down and then added the grayscale layer he mentions we should start with), so I had a few minor problems adjusting, but overall I think it ended up pretty nice.  It does take away a bit of the fun with having different color shadows, but if I mess with it I might end up being able to get around that, too.  We’ll see.  It worked really well on the pants, nonetheless.  This style of shading could easily help get around textures on cloth.

So here he is! (click for a slightly larger version)

Shadow Colossus Fan Art Monday, Nov 26 2007

Yo~!

This was me messing around with color. I really liked getting in there and coloring for once. It’s been a while since I did that. It’s also been a while since I did any fan art in general, so that was fun too.

Hope you like!
